The Tool
- Precision hone with an aggressive grit structure

The Process
- Single flank honing
- Work and tool are independent, axes synchronized electronically
- Both flanks are honed without reversing (a small offset is made without
stopping the axes
- Short cycle times
The Results
- High energy honing reduces noise in assembled gear boxes
- Lead, involute and tooth spacing are improved
- Surface finish lines run diagonally from tip to the root of the
tooth - this interrupts irritating frequencies
